Flight Numbers
With a very comfortable speed 7 rim and a floaty 5 glide, the Rhythm gets down the fairway without requiring a massive power. The -2 turn allows it to stand up from a hyzer angle or drift smoothly to the right on a flat release, while the soft 1 fade keeps it from turning into an uncontrollable roller at the end of its flight.

Proton Plastic
Axiom’s Proton plastic is their most durable, stiffest premium blend, easily recognized by its transparent, brightly colored flight plate paired with the contrasting GYRO rim. Because it is slightly more rigid than Neutron, a fresh Proton Rhythm tends to fly just a hair more torque-resistant out of the box. This makes it an incredible woods disc, as it can take hundreds of direct tree strikes without immediately losing its flight integrity or beating into an uncontrollably flippy disc.

- Vs the Axiom Neutron Rhythm: The standard Neutron run offers a slightly more pliable, opaque flight plate with great grip. The Proton version is typically stiffer and takes a bit longer to beat in, making it a great option for players who play heavily wooded, rocky courses.
- Vs the Axiom Fission Rhythm: Fission plastic uses micro-bubbles to drop the weight, giving it noticeably more glide and significantly more understability. If you want max turn and effortless distance, grab Fission. If you want a bit more backbone and durability, grab Proton.

Is the Proton Rhythm a good driver for beginners?
Absolutely. A 7-speed rim is the perfect starting point for new players. The -2 turn helps slower arm speeds keep the disc flat and straight, preventing the early fade that frustrates beginners when they try to throw high-speed distance drivers.
How does the Proton Rhythm handle forehand throws?
Because it is an understable mold, it requires a lot of touch. It is excellent for low-power, finesse sidearms in the woods where you need the disc to flip up or hold a leftward drift. However, if you snap it with max forehand power, it will quickly turn into a roller.
Will the Proton plastic change how the Rhythm flies?
Proton is Axiom's most durable plastic. Out of the box, it often flies slightly closer to a -1.5 turn than a full -2, giving it a bit more torque resistance. It will slowly season into that true, glide-heavy understable flight over time.
